The drive-through hubs are located at the PHCC centres in Al Thumama, Al Waab and Leabaib. Participants of the invitation-only test will be randomly selected based on age, gender and ethnicity and the selected participant will be notified through a text message from the PHCC. Invitation does not mean the participant is a suspect patient and participation is entirely voluntary, it added. The aim of this exercise is to conduct a community survey and gain more insight into community transmission and asymptomatic cases, which will in turn inform policy decisions. Nearly 2,500 random people were tested through the hubs on May 6 and 7. They were operationalised again from May 31 and runs from 2pm to 10pm.
